End of March, two ESAavitators from ESOC could take one day off for a flight trip to the Algäu- Region in the very South- East of Germany, including a flight through the beautiful German – and Austrian alps.
After detailed checking and pre- heating, the DYNAMIC WT9 could depart from Reinheim. Already from the altitude of 5000 ft the sight became glass clear so that already from the half of the distance, nearby Stuttgart, the mighty Alps became visible as a growing scenery on the horizon. As scheduled, a lunch break was taken at the restaurant of airfield Leutkirch- Unterzeil. In the second phase of the trip the route continued with mighty impressing views via Kempten to the Forggensee, with castle Neuschwanstein, Füssen, passing the mountain ‘Zugspitze’ as the highest German Mountain, several dozed miles following the German- Austrian border in the alps to the Achensee. The impressions where amazing. The 2th flight phase lead then via the Starnbergersee and Ammersee via the west of Munich and east of Augsburg to a second landing at airfield Donauwörth- Generkingen. With some wind from the back, the 3th and last flight phase back to the home base in Reinheim could be registered with ’61 minutes’.
